Limen Collective is where memory becomes melody, where tradition meets improvisation, and where Sardinia speaks through breath, rhythm, and silence. Founded in Torino by Sardinian musicians Alessandra Soro and Fabrizio Leoni, the collective is a fluid ensemble of voices and instruments united by the desire to explore cultural memory through contemporary sound.

Their music traces invisible threads between Sardinia, the Mediterranean, and beyond – weaving together Sardinian folk, modern jazz, and ritual forms. Traditional dances, funeral songs, wind stories, and lullabies are reinterpreted with precision and soul, giving voice to the forgotten, the rooted, and the transformative.

The group features an ensemble of outstanding performers: Alessandra Soro (voice), Fabrizio Leoni (piano), Cesare Mecca (trumpet and flugelhorn), Simone Garino (clarinet and soprano sax), Elena Marchi (alto sax), Marco Tardito (bass clarinet), Gabriele Leoni (flute), Masih Karimi (tanbur and daf), Marco Bellafiore (double bass), and Luca Guarino (drums and percussion).

On April 25, 2025, the collective debuts with “Sa Terra Mia”, a heartfelt single in Bono’s Sardinian language – co-written by Alessandra and her grandmother Anna Usai – that explores the idea of home as something that continues to live within us, even when we must part.

The journey continues with “Maestrale”, out on May 2. A powerful piece composed by Fabrizio Leoni, it captures the fierce northwest wind of northern Sardinia through swirling rhythm and ancestral dance reimagined.

The full-length album *Perda e Bentu* will be released on June 20, both digitally and physically. It features seven compositions that travel through lullabies, rituals, wind, myth, and protest – an intimate sound journey shaped by breath and memory.

Limen Collective invites listeners not only to hear, but to feel. Their music holds space for both presence and absence, for cultural heritage and transformation, for poetry and protest. It is music that remembers and imagines – shaped by the land, carried by the wind.
