Blurry glass house reflecting on still water with warm light inside, symbolizing introspective emotions.

Some emotions are like glass, transparent yet unreachable, fragile yet enduring. This orchestral rework by Michele Nobler invites the listener into a delicate soundscape where piano and orchestra flow together like tides moving over memories.

Michele reimagines four of his past compositions with a cinematic sensibility, enriching their emotional core with lush, textural depth. This project continues the poetic journey of previous works like Glass Boxes and Waves, where stillness, reflection, and ambient harmony create a space for gentle listening.

The title Glass Boxes serves as a metaphor for feelings that can be seen and sensed, yet not held. Like people living in submerged glass houses, emotions remain visible and vivid, yet only surface when the tide of life retreats. Each track opens a window into these hidden rooms, filled with longing, softness, and beauty.

Track by Track

1. What We Feel
A soft and melancholic piano melody, now transformed through a delicate orchestral lens. A subtle voice drifts in the background, echoing those unspoken emotions we carry. This piece introduces the EP’s core idea, where melodies reflect the ebb and flow of feelings, like glass homes resting on the seabed, waiting for the tide to recede.

2. The Seaman
A peaceful, meditative piece that gently rocks like a boat on still water. The orchestral arrangement brings warmth and atmosphere, offering a moment of quiet presence. It’s a composition that invites stillness, where time seems to pause and breathe.

3. Unconscious Castaways
A contemplative piece born from the feeling of being quietly lost. The music captures a dreamlike state, where blurred memories and gentle confusion blend together. Inspired by moments of emotional disorientation, it flows with softness and a surreal sense of distance.

4. Double Exposure
Layered like overlapping photographs, this piece intertwines melodies into a gently hypnotic pattern. The orchestral texture deepens its emotional pull, creating a peaceful yet modern atmosphere. It’s music that feels suspended, like thoughts drifting in slow motion.

Glass Boxes (Orchestral Rework) offers a tranquil space for reflection and listening. It’s music for meditation, for memories, and for the quiet beauty of things not always fully spoken.
