In Gnossiennes – For Me, For Satie, pianist Carlo Corazza returns to six works by Erik Satie that have accompanied him privately for decades. Once discouraged from performing this repertoire as a young student, Corazza never truly abandoned it. These recordings mark the moment when a lifelong connection finally finds its public voice.

Performed on an acoustic felted piano, the six Gnossiennes reveal a world of softened tones, delicate phrasing and expressive silence. Corazza approaches Satie's distinctive musical language with sensitivity and restraint, allowing each composition to retain its mystery while reflecting his own personal journey.

There is another story behind the album artwork. A portrait of Satie that Corazza began drawing many years ago remained unfinished until this project gave him a reason to complete it.

More than a collection of piano interpretations, Gnossiennes – For Me, For Satie is a personal tribute to the music we carry within us, the passage of time and the freedom to rediscover something we once set aside.
