"Letters: The Hub Session" by Fabio Mazzini featuring Giovanni Tamburini is a musical exploration of resilience, memory, and quiet reverence. Liminal is the culmination of four years of research, travel, study, and experiences by author Antonio Firinu. Groundless, Safir Nou's debut album, was an introspective work that aimed to express the idea of being suspended between the sky and the earth, observing and reflecting on the landscape. Liminal, on the other hand, is a work that emerges from the earth, taking root in the surrounding world and taking on its forms. The compositions are more collaborative and the result of a new compositional approach designed for the band.

The concept of Liminal can be applied to various fields of knowledge, including psychology, anthropology, architecture, and philosophy. In architecture, it refers to an interstitial space between two doors, an intermediate dimension that lies between two well-defined states but is independent of them. The notion of liminality comes from Arnold van Gennep's 1909 study of rites of passage, which identifies two thresholds and a liminal space where the protagonist experiences a double suspension.

Safir Nou takes up this concept to describe a dimension of passage, being suspended between a previous identity and a future identity, the search for another condition, an unresolved feeling, an unspoken word, the journey, and migration. The album consists of two different chapters, Waves and Sands, each composed of six tracks that reflect, face, and describe the liminal dimension in different ways. It is an exploration of the space of the interlude, the suspension, and the liminal journey, expressed through the language of music.

It is a musical tale inspired and set in a timeless place in the Ligurian Apennines. Pratosopralacroce, San Martino di Licciorno and Lake Giacopiane are the three places visited in three days by an imaginary traveller. Three places not far from each other, immersed in nature, full of suggestions that come from ancient times.

• The first day, in the picturesque village of Pratosopralacroce Wonderland A church, a street and many colourful Ligurian-style houses; This is how the small village of the Apennines presents itself. It extends under the green mountains close to a valley divided at the bottom by a small stream. Peace, silence, an old tavern, Alice's Houses to be able to find refreshment and refuge for the nights. A timeless place, a wonderland.

-The second day in the woods. The face in the rock and the Church in the woods An ancient path leads into the woods. After crossing the stream, after a few minutes, the amazement of seeing an ancient stone church among the dense vegetation. "San Martino di Licciorno" is the name of this place; a temple and the testimony of a community devoted to Christianity, from a time very distant from ours. Even more remote must be the origins of that huge face carved on the rock, which can be found continuing the path. Was the "Megalithic Face" in the past a sculpture dedicated to Christ or something linked to a pagan cult? I let my mind and imagination travel while I admire him in amazement.

The third and last day, with the evening and night, spent at the lake. Last night at the Lake In the two previous days, I have heard several times from the locals about how unmissable a visit to the "Lago di Giacopiane" was. Now that I am here, at sunset and with a small fire lit, I can understand the words of those people. A light breeze and the cry of some wild animal are the only perceptible sounds. Slowly, as the sun sets on the horizon breaking into the waters of the lake, he spends the last evening and the last night, in this little corner of paradise.

The portrait usually reveals a lot about the personality of the represented subject, but it can also show plenty about the author, regardless of how big the work is. A portrait could be a dialogue or a meeting, and if this is true could reflect the echo of the Univers

On Saturday October 2, 2020, I woke up at my home in Saorge and discovered that storm Alex had passed through there and had destroyed almost everything in its path. Houses, roads, lives were washed away by the incredible current of the river. I discovered with horror the devastation that has disfigured the Royá and Vésubie valleys. These valleys are called Merveilles (Wonders). I settled down at the piano, and all these melodies sprang up under my fingers. Merveilles is a CD that pays tribute to all those who work for reconstruction and who celebrate the resilience of nature, and the beings who inhabit it.

I've only been to London once, a long time ago, when I was still a kid. In these periods of lockdown, spending a lot of time alone at home, I often think back to the many trips made in the course of life. In this case, I live the fictionalized memory of a London that no longer exists, entering a fractal reverie rather than a real memory. This is the emotional background where I placed the songs on the album.
