Floating on a Note brings together guitar, violin, cello and electronic textures in an extended instrumental composition. Its spacious arrangement and introspective character create a contemplative atmosphere, with acoustic instruments and electronic elements sharing the musical landscape.

One of the longer pieces on Groundless, it reflects the album's openness to different instrumental colours and musical approaches.
