From the recordings The Peace of Wild Things and Forethought of Grief
Forethought of Grief leaves room around its guitar lines, allowing pauses and silence to carry some of the composition's emotional weight. Inspired by Wendell Berry's poem and influenced in part by Roger Waters, the piece turns towards longing, sadness and reflection.
