“La mia terra sa chi sono io.”

This intimate single by Limen Collective, composed by Alessandra Soro with lyrics co-written with her grandmother Anna Usai, becomes a poetic whisper in Bono’s Sardinian. It tells of how land, memory, and identity remain within us, even as we journey far.

The arrangement flows with tenderness. Voice, trumpet, flugelhorn, clarinet, bass clarinet, piano, double bass, and drums embrace each other in a circle of sound that is both chill and romantic, gently lifting the listener into a space of reflection.

“Sono andata via dalla mia terra, ma lei vive in me.” These words bloom with quiet strength, set in motion by a composition that holds space for ancestral presence and the enduring warmth of home.

This track stands alone as a tribute, not only to Sardinian roots, but to the stories that hum beneath the skin. It doesn’t ask to be understood, only remembered.

In Sa Terra Mia, the closing breath of the upcoming album Perda e Bentu, Limen Collective gifts us a tender ode to memory and belonging. Composed by Alessandra Soro with lyrics co-written with her grandmother Anna Usai, this piece is a love letter spoken in Bono’s Sardinian, where language, land, and identity echo softly in the heart. Even when we leave, our roots hum quietly within us, like the wind over familiar hills, or the scent of salt rising from a distant sea.

The track flows with gentle yet vibrant energy, carried by Alessandra’s voice and the warm timbres of trumpet, flugelhorn, clarinet, and double bass. A meditative piano line and delicate percussion cradle the narrative, while clarinets and brass add warmth and air. It feels like walking barefoot on home soil, eyes closed, listening.

Limen Collective’s sound, a seamless dialogue between Sardinian tradition and Mediterranean influences, continues here with emotional clarity and poetic restraint. Sa Terra Mia doesn’t shout, it remembers. And in remembering, it shines.
